An idea

Filed under: Uncategorized — graphix @ 4:52 am

So, I had an idea for this site. You can see I have added a new page (just look to the top of the screen) there is another tab now, called ‘Nan desu ka’.

I thought we could talk about things. I just posted my first thing to chat about. Please click on and reply. Feel free to correct me – or ask questions. This is an experiental learning ‘thing’ after all! By the way – if you want to get a bit more involved than just replying – let me know and I’ll add you as an editor.

Here are a couple of the online sites I use and have found really helpful.

Japanese 101 podcast with different levels. Available on the ITunes directory also.

The Kanji site - with rollover options to learn katakana, hiragana & kanji.

Japanese/English dictionary – type in either the Japanese or English word & it gives you the translation.

Welcome

I have set this blog up for those of us wanting to work on our Japanese language skills. Christina has been talking about the educational uses for blogs & this was one ideas that sprang to mind. So here we are with a new place to share what we are learning, helpful resources, & a place to come along and chat.

It is an experiment so please make suggestions or try ideas out.

Peter & I had a lesson this morning & I mentioned this idea to Sensei (the wonderful Matsumoto!) She said she is interested & might be willing to act as our ‘expert’ (e.g. make corrections) as well as answer questions that are posed.

So let’s see what this becomes…my hope is that this will be ‘tanoshi’ too!
